The Role:

DailyPay is looking for an experienced Lead Designer (Design Manager) who has an outstanding user-centric design approach and desire to design a sophisticated mobile-first set of products targeted at different user groups but still put the consumers in control of their pay and daily financial decisions.

You will be responsible for designing new consumer experiences that bring our product vision to life in a way that is valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution - And, you can easily navigate a number of different user personas across the product ecosystem in doing so. You should have experience designing consumer-facing products or features, ideally within FinTech, payments or related areas, and expect to use your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills. You can also easily excel at building web-based experiences for our enterprise users and lead a team of people passionate about the various areas of the business.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Deeply understand our users, business and jobs-to-be-done with strong user empathy, proven research techniques and genuine curiosity
  • Lead a team of designers (3 to start) that will be passionate about different parts of our business and customer groups. You will be more than just a leader, you will help evangelize the value of design
  • Be responsible for the user experience of digital, mobile-first products and features from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, research, engineers and designers. You will work collaboratively across the organization to bring design to life 
  • Take broad and conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our rapidly growing user base
  • Design end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant and can be used as a basis for discussion and collaboration with others in the organization
  • Craft new features and products from the ground up; and diligently iterate to find areas of improvement with evaluative and quantitative research
  • Craft designs within existing visual systems and/or standards
  • Stay up to speed on the constantly evolving consumer finance and payments industries
  • Make use of data to make informed product design decisions
  • Fundamentally understand that the design process begins well before any designs are started

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 5+ years of experience in designing consumer facing products or features and leading small design teams
  • Strong portfolio that includes consumer-facing mobile products and features with financial transactions
  • Experience building mobile application design across iOS and Android
  • A broad product design abilities, with core strengths in at least two of the following -- UX strategy, interaction design, prototyping and/or visual design
  • Fintech, payments, or related industry experience designing financial transactions
