The Role

Process Skills:
Good Communications skills
• Sound knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge on Mainframe consoles, HMC, batch, subsystems.
• Sound knowledge on Console monitoring.
• Good at MVS commands.
• Good at JCL.
• Monitoring & Maintaining Production LPARS and handling all tape related alerts.
• Performing Scheduled Outages, IPL’s, and Clock Changes.
• Handling SRTs (Service Restoration Team) and RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) of abends.
• Manage JES spool and diagnose hardware and software problem informing to the support team.
• Stopping and Starting DB2/CICS subsystem as per support team specifications during Special activity changes and Upgrading.


Who You Are

Experience within a complex global/multi-national operating environment

Possess strong forward thinking capabilities in order to ensure Availability in the face of evolving technology and business strategy

Demonstrated ability to think strategically in order to understand and detect business issues and their impacts on the customer and operational environment

Strong understanding of the change, problem and incident management processes

Demonstrated track record of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term

Solid understanding of the IT infrastructure and system interdependencies preferred
