The Role

Kyndryl’s collaboration has expanded our alliances, to partnering with AWS to help our joint customers accelerate their mainframe modernization initiatives. With these new services and existing alliance services partnering with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, we support and enable mainframe transformation projects across all three hyperscalers 

 

As part of our ongoing transformation, Kyndryl Italy Core Enterprise and zCloud Practice is looking for its leader 

 

In this role you will be a core, collaborative member of the Country leadership team as well as the Global senior leadership team responsible for developing, accelerating and leading Kyndryl Italy’s Core Enterprise and zCloud practice. Kyndryl are the undisputed market leader of Mainframe modernization, providing Mainframe managed services globally with the largest, mainframe and i-series infrastructure management team in the world. 

 

You will be a customer-centric change leader, with the mindset and prior experience of ‘baking and building’: creating and leading go to market strategys, building and developing a consult organization. You will be a business leader who dares to have that business conversation, accountable for building market presence, strategy, and a compelling portfolio of services. Business leader of big area & transformation area of Kyndryl. Undisputed market leader.  

 

The role is a strong externally facing role that requires leading from the front with customers and teams in the field. You will work closely with not only our Country Leadership, but the account teams, delivery teams, and cross practice teamsResponsible for achieving the practice's Country business and financial goals, your activities include long-term strategic planning; leading go to market and growth. Being the external thought leader for the practice with our Customers, media, press and analysts, you will execute the policies of the practice, allocate its resources and make decisions regarding diversification to accomplish the organization's vision.  

 

As the Leader you will foster strong relationships with C-suite customers, gaining industry perspectives and insights into desired solution-oriented customer outcomes. As the established leader in mainframe managed services, Kyndryl gives you the opportunity to grow your existing knowledge and account management. To expand your experience in mainframe operations, mainframe technology, and mainframe modernization. 

- Mainframe experience not necessary!  

a. You will understand the complexity of systems, Cloud, or building a consult organization 

b. With a broad understanding of how you modernize estates, and an interest to learn mainframe percularities 

- A strong customer facing person, with a start up mentality 

a. Acting as a thought leader in the Market, perhaps with experience selling or consulting in Financial Services  

b. Leading sales and growth by leveraging Kyndryl’s strong market leading eminence, to drive growth (winning both new customer business as well as incremental work with our existing, established base of customers) 

- Working proactively with every account to help them  

a. Develop the strategic roadmap [for the mainframe] for each account. 

b. Initiate and conduct modernisation workshop. 

c. Help win and grow new customers.  

- Rapidly create and lead a team of experts (direct and virtual, tech and sales) to 

a. Own various Core Enterprise and zCloud methodologies including mainframe modernisation. 

b. Execute mainframe modernisations at scale  

c. Execute T&T for new Logo mainframe customers. 

- Own Kyndryl Italy’s key partner relationships for the mainframe platform 

a. Technology partners like IBM, BMC, CA etc. 

b. Services partners like TMaxSoft, Microfocus, EY etc 

c. Hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, and Google)  

- To own the zCloud offering in Italy including 

a. Rate setting 

b. Cost take out 

c. Selling to new customers  

- Strong leadership capabilities 

- Financial acumen skills with experience to lead a P&L
