Job Summary

The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) is a driving force within NetApp UK sales account teams. The ATS significantly contributes to build and manage the strongest possible relationship with technical peers in key enterprise customer accounts. The ATS proactively drives technical initiatives and oversee all technical pre-sales activity (presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, etc.) while ensuring that the right expertise from a supporting cast of specialists is applied where needed.

Role

  • As the technical sales lead on focus accounts, you will develop technical strategy to increase penetration into Enterprise customer labels.
  • Leverage the wider technical matrix and segue specialist resources into the account to develop deeper opportunity.
  • Plays a pivotal role in ensuring 'holistic' delivery to clients, by understanding customer’s needs and creating and articulating solutions to the customer.
  • Able to demonstrate the value of cloud to new and traditional customers, developing adoption of newer NetApp technologies.
  • Identify opportunities and develop technical solutions to meet customers’ needs and requirements.
  • Partners with business leaders to deliver resources and services that support company objectives that are consistent with NetApp values.
  • Operates job excellence and discipline at all times often refining solutions & deals to maximize revenue as well as being the technical authority on final solution design.

Job Requirements

  • Capable of building firm business relationships with customers and partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, presenting in either small forum events or to larger audiences.
  • Building Technical account plans that set out strategic initiatives to deliver customer capabilities as well driving significant sales pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of software technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
  • An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Sales organizations and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with C-level executives, both at the customer and partner level.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in pre-sales, technical consulting, professional services role.
  • Expertise in data storage and data management solutions, including backup and recovery, disaster recovery, cloud storage, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, Partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to customer & partner sites for face-to-face engagement(s) around the London area as well as globally.
