Job description

Founded in Quebec City in 2010, Petal is a dynamic and growing company made up of over 350 enthusiasts who have developed innovative real-time care orchestration and medical billing solutions for Health Delivery Organizations. Patient self-scheduling, clinical capacity management, care coordination, physician scheduling and secure communication, all on our innovative and secure cloud platforms.

Our commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture has earned us notable recognitions, including being listed as a Great Place to Work in both the technology and healthcare sectors.

Join us in our mission to empower healthcare innovators and improve healthcare differently.

What you can expect when joining the team

As a technical writer specialized in UX, your role will involve contributing to the development, revision, and maintenance of terminology associated with Petal products. As an integrated member of the product management team, you will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, design teams, product marketing, as well as customer success, to create resources that go beyond simple product feature documentation. Your objective will be to guide the user, from beginner to expert, in their usage experience.

Your daily life

During the day, you will be led to:

  • Write terminology suitable for different markets and specific to the market and/or language;
  • Collaborate with the UX-UI team to align text with visual design, adhering to UX best practices and standards, and maintaining consistency with our brand voice and tone guidelines;
  • Conduct task analyses, UX research, and usability tests to verify your text, ensuring it meets strict accessibility and usability standards;
  • Create and maintain a consistent style guide and glossary for our digital products within our Design System;
  • Collaborate on UX-UI design tasks, depending on workload;
  • Work closely with and support other technical writers;
  • Manage the translation of mobile and web applications as the company evolves and enters new markets;
  • Contribute to the documentation of Design System components.
