The Challenge

As a Wallapop Tech Lead, you will contribute to building a team culture, with the rest of the technical leads, based on a continuous improvement attitude, trust, and a self-empowerment philosophy. So, among others, you will drive teammates to have complete ownership of the services embracing DevOps philosophy. Some of the interesting things we are currently doing at a technical level, include finding new ways to handle complexity, improve resiliency, and escalate the team. As Android Tech Lead you will help the team make them grow, lead technical decisions and be the link between tech and the company.

Our app is constantly growing and facing new challenges like modularization, quality, build speed, development speed, and many more! You will be directly involved in those challenges along with other company challenges. As Android tech lead you are also involved in product decisions and supporting them

- Kotlin

- Continuous Integration

- Technical decisions based on metrics

- Working with multi-module projects

- MVP / MVVM Architecture

 

What You Will Do

  • Write and review some code helping other teammates
  • Tackling legacy parts and handling tech debt backlog
  • Help teams with mid and long term technical plans
  • Promote best practices across teams (Clean Code, Architecture, testing, monitoring, Release process, etc)
  • Mentoring other teammates to get the better of them
  • You have experience leading teams or technical initiatives
  • You have a technical working background and know the daily challenges of a Team
  • You are a trusted person in the team and you are able to help your team with technical decisions
  • You understand the business necessities and tech necessities and you are able to find a pragmatic solution
  • You are able to communicate complex technical stuff to technical and non-technical people
