Akamai joins WomenTech Network to Support Women in Technology

    Mountain View, California - November 17, 2022 — WomenTech Network, a global community dedicated to inspiring women to succeed in technology, announces that Akamai Technologies, Inc., the cloud company that powers and protects life online is providing financial and programming support of the Women in Tech Global Conference 2023.  

    By supporting the Women in Tech community at the highest level, Akamai joins other leading WomenTech Network partner organizations committed to diversity and inclusion such as HP, Mastercard, and Qualtrics. In addition to conference sponsorship, Akamai and Women Tech Network will work together to develop other events, as well as the WomenTech educational programming.

    WomenTech Network and Akamai will support several of the networks' key programs. This includes multiple technical and career training events for engineers, as well as a special digital keynote hosted by Akamai at the Women in Tech Global Conference 2023, the network’s premier annual tech conference. Akamai's support is also pivotal to the success of the Women in Tech Leadership Development Program.

Thanks to this transition, WomenTech's membership expanded by 60% (totaling now 70,000) and went from running programming in 27 countries to serving members across 172 countries worldwide.

    In addition, the Executive Women in Tech NetworkChief in Tech Summit, and BOARD were initiated. Together, they bring more than 1000 of the most powerful C-Level executives at technology-enabled companies together from all over the world.
