We should never underestimate the power of emotional connection with people.

There’s an influencing framework:
- Establish credibility
- Frame for common ground
- Provide evidence
- Connect emotionally

The last point just illuminates the fact that emotional connection is the icing on the cake as concerns influencing and leading people.
If we connect emotionally with our counterparts, no matter whether they are our subordinates, peers or co - workers, we are much more likely to get their buy - in.
