As Solutions Engineer, you'll play an integral part in sales cycles, defining solutions that meet the requirements of our customers. You'll be both the customers' trusted advisor and technical expert. Collaborating with sales partners you'll facilitate product adoption and account growth with a winning mindset for customers and Akamai.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate.
• Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customer's needs.
• Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos, Customer Analysis Reports (CAR's) and Proof of Concepts (POC's).

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
• Have experience with development/programming.
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the cloud.
• Have experience working in a customer-facing technical solutions pre-sales or post sale role
• Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Demonstrate experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment
