Product Manager - Fixed Income Securitized Products

Within our Core Terminal business, the Fixed Income Securitized Product team is seeking a Product Manager to research, define and ultimately develop our premium structuring tool offerings. The main product offerings are the pre-issuance structuring tool (STRU) and non-securitized loan tool, Mortgage User Defined Instrument (MUDI). These tools are linked to Bloomberg proprietary predictive models and enable our customers to create, analyze, market, and sell pre-issuance/private securitized products.

The Product Manager will also be responsible for expanding our offerings to add Asset Backed Securities, CLO/CDO, Non-Agency, Asset Backed Finance and Private Assets. The secondary focus is expanding the asset sectors of Mortgage User Defined Instruments (MUDI) to enable clients to add their private or non-modeled loan packages to the terminal. MUDI securities must function within all Bloomberg functionalities including portfolio tools and trading systems. Added sectors include ABS, Commercial Mortgage Loans, International assets.

We'll trust you to:

• Have a clear vision for your product(s), articulating how it solves problems and delivers value to our customers.
• Develop a roadmap and lead execution through an agile development process, documenting requirements in our internal systems.
• Ensure stakeholders across the organization are aligned on the product vision, goals, and roadmap
• Represent the business strategy and requirements for STRU and MUDI, working with senior leaders and other vertical product stakeholders
• Understand the requirements of STRU and MUDI clients and how they use the product to enhance their workflows and convert that into actionable well-defined business requirements
• Work with Sales to develop sales strategies and give them the best tools to position STRU and MUDI to clients
• Perform regular training of internal stakeholders as well as client teams as needed
• Manage and build project plans with clear deliverables and milestones working closely with multiple stakeholder groups including engineering and data
• Identify and track strategic goals, outcomes, and key success metrics to measure impact.
• Work seamlessly across Bloomberg and project manage product builds to delivery and adoption
• Lead multiple projects at the same time and demonstrated the ability to shift priorities when needed
• Collaborate with product teams to validate decisions, verify the accuracy of the planned delivery, promote adoption of product completion, and provide training tools/documentation to drive success.

You’ll need to have:

• 8+ years of experience in Fixed Income*
• Experience with cash flow modeling for Securitized Products
• Demonstrated Excel skills including advanced formula writing, sheet building, scripting abilities and coding capabilities (Python preferred)
• Fluency with data and understanding of product metrics
• Ability to create strategic goals, prioritize outcomes, and develop roadmaps
• Demonstrated domain knowledge of Fixed Income and interest in new technologies
• Experience in project management, strong organizational skills, and an ability to map dependencies
• Deep understanding of complete spectrum of Cash Securitized Products security types (Agency Pool & CMO, Non-Agency RMBS, Asset Backed Securities, CMBS, CLO & International assets)
• Experience using APIs and an understanding of how APIs facilitate workflows through automation
• Proven knowledge of securitized products as either a market participant or a provider of securitized products services

We’d love to see:

• Experience working with desktop and enterprise products at Bloomberg or elsewhere
• Deep understanding of financial markets across multiple asset classes
• Record of collaborating across multiple teams while being a leader for the business
• Understanding of prepayment and credit models
