Manages project teams of cybersecurity risk practitioners across multiple geographic regions. Acts as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Ability to work effectively in a team and with stakeholders at various organization levels. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May seek advice to make decisions on complex business issues.

 

Responsibilities:

Manages internal project delivery utilizing project management methodology and tools

  • Ensures project task responsibilities are effectively assigned to team members
  • Reviews cost, staffing, and schedule performance against the plan and takes corrective action as necessary
  • Ensures established processes and procedures are followed by project team
  • Provides reliable status/forecasts to management.
  • Creates and maintains project management documentation (e.g., project scope statement, schedule and WBS, program roadmaps, status reports)
  • Reviews and validates changes to project baselines
  • Manages change control process
  • Ensures project workbooks are created and maintained

 

Manages project team and relationships.

  • Coaches team members to accomplish project milestones, facilitate resolution of issues, accomplish project goals, and produce quality results
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Manages mid to upper-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Seeks opportunities for process improvement and is a sponsor and leader for implementing positive change

Education and Experience Required:

  • Excellent planning and project management skills, including leading moderate to large, cross‐functional initiatives that impact the organization
  • Typically, 7+ years total experience in planning, program, project management for multiple small to moderate projects simultaneously
  • Advanced university degree preferred but not mandatory (or demonstrable equivalent experience)
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Experience utilizing formal project management methodology
  • Cybersecurity experience and certifications (e.g., CISM, CRISC) would provide added value but are not mandatory
