Program Manager mission is to improve, control and report organizational and individual capabilities and skills to manage and to successfully execute various types of major IT initiatives, while applying right-skilled individual resources effectively.

The position involves:

  • Management and maintenance of FCI program revisions across teams and portfolios
  • Management of Stakeholder communications structure
  • FCI Change Request management & control
  • Program resource capacity planning and tracking
  • Project / Program budget planning and tracking

Responsibilities

  • Manages and track project’s revenue as detailed in Impact section.
  • Very large/ complex/ single or multiple region.
  • Manages project financials including P&L.
  • Ensure projects meet approved budgets.
  • Provides reliable financial forecasts to management and business analyst.
  • Manages business development.
  • Supports early qualification and opportunity assessment for large and complex opportunities.
  • Acts as opportunity manager for high risk deals.
  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
  • Assist on managing project team.
  • Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members.
  • Regular resource tracking and forecasting that show utilization for current work.
  • Identify and acquire industry-standard methods, practices and templates within the domain of project management.
  • Introduce, support and continuously improve the organization’s adopted and implemented project management practices and supporting assets.
  • Provide the executive leadership with accurate and timely information about current and future use of resources, highlighting areas where decisions are needed
  • Works with respective managers to balance the availability of the required skills and competencies to achieve the plan and roadmap

Education and Experience Required

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years experience in project management or in like roles/businesses.
  • 7 or more years of experience in IT business/industry
  • Five to seven years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the program goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key HP Services’ operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
  • Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to project management methods.
  • PMP Certified.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to develop a solid integrated plan and deliver them in resource constraints.
