The Role 

You will be part of an ambitious team as an SDR Edge Specialist. You will be responsible for prospecting new business opportunities within the emerging Edge space, as the expert for early-stage conversations, focused on a handful of key Vertical markets 

You will be tenacious and undeterred in prospecting for new business with a strong desire to help our customers benefit from SUSE’s open-source portfolio. We are performance driven and understand the unique demands of our customers. You will possess the skills to think strategically about their requirements with the ability to convey compelling value propositions. 

You will run both Transactional and Strategic campaigns for focus Verticals within the EMEA Region.

  • Manage both Inbound and Outbound prospecting campaigns to provide highly qualified opportunities (SQOs)  

  • Generate appointments through proactive outbound prospecting. 

  • Collaborate with the Edge and Vertical specialists in targeted accounts with innovative and strategic approaches based on territories. 

  • Work directly with marketing to drive prospects through the pipeline. 

  • Research & identify new accounts, contacts, and opportunities. 

  • Follow-up diligently and methodically on all prospective leads. 

  • Utilize Salesforce & Outreach.io to ensure activities are appropriately documented. 

About You 

  • Excellent verbal communication - including skills over the phone. 

  • Has demonstrable previous experience in developing new business from both cold and warm engagements. 

  • Understands the basic principles of Edge Computing. 

  • Hungry for success. 

  • Be able to emphasize with different layers in customers organizations. 

  • Experience with technology sales. 

  • Self-motivated and a self-starter. 

  • Previous experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) market. 

  • Confidence, Passionate, Enthusiasm, Creativity, Adaptability, and Resiliency are just some of the characteristics we are looking for. 

  • Experience with a CRM system – Salesforce preferably. 

  • Experience with an Outbound Marketing system – Outreach preferably. 

  • Works in a team with similar roles – with individual targets. 

  • A thirst for learning and truly adaptable in an ever-evolving market 

  • A curiosity for technology and how it can enhance people’s lives 

  • Experience with non-IT technologies, and/vertical experience a bonus. 

  • Fluency in English is desired, additional language skills are a bonus
