R&D Engineer I

The candidate will be a member of the Synthesis R&D Chile team and will work on projects in the fields of synthesis and placement.
Challenges include the design of efficient data structure and algorithms, solutions to problems imposed by advanced technology nodes, and a commitment to deliver high-quality production software that satisfies customer needs.
You will be expected to write efficient and stable software programs, and keep up with advancements in IC design and methodology. Be a part of a team developing software tools used by every major hardware company in the world.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in developing and maintaining C/C++ based applications in a Unix/Linux
• environment.
• Computer Sciences or Electronics Engineering college degree, or equivalent course training.
• Experienced with software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with debugging and configuration management tools.
• Attentive to strict performance and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to run and coordinate discussions in a small group, and present them in an organized fashion to larger groups.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in EDA industry.
• Prior knowledge and experience of hardware design.
