Job Description and Requirements 

In this role, we are looking for a dynamic leader to lead the Solutions Engineering team for Hardware, Analytics and Test BU in Synopsys, Korea. This leader will work on  key products and technologies and with customers in the region to increase the business for Synopsys Design for Test and Silicon Lifecycle Management products across our customer base in Korea.

He/she will act as the focal point of contact and manage all external and internal communications to cross-functional teams spanning geographical and organizational boundaries. Plans and directs schedules; identifies and escalates issues; drives problems to resolution; identifies and manages risk. 
 
The leader must have a proven track record in project execution and overall project management with an engineering background.   The candidate must be able to organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and with high quality. The applicant must be able to manage multiple projects, recognize and mitigate risks, and work proactively on contingency plans. The candidate must be process-oriented with an emphasis on clear and concise communication.    
 
Will work cross-functionally with internal  teams (Sales, Marketing, Solutions/Applications Engineering, R&D) and have exposure and visibility on a global scale throughout the organization.  In this role, the Sr Manager acts as the main interface of Synopsys with our customers in the Korea region and within our internal development teams to ensure we deliver to our customer requirements to meet their goals and targets. 
 
Position Requirements: 

  • Candidate must have a solid background and proven track record in implementation of DFT or Synthesis/other front-end technologies  

  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and to successfully drive and complete designs and projects   

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication, leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are required to succeed in this role. 

  • The candidate should possess good working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. 
  • Have the ability to work with senior leadership at our customers and build a strong rapport with them 
  • The ability to work and interface with Sales, Marketing, Business development, R&D and other business functions within Synopsys is a key requirement for this role

 
Preferred Requirements: 

  • BSEE/MSEE/PhD or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience.

  • Previous experience and expertise in a customer facing role (Field Applications , Solutions Engineering, etc) is also highly desirable 
  • Candidate having technical project execution and leadership experience is highly desired 

 
Our Test tools enable customers to deploy state of art DFT and SLM technologies on their designs. We coach, demonstrate, build, execute latest DFT flow and methodologies, delivering them to customers and helping customers in realizing quality design within time to market.
