Are you excited to speak at the Women in Tech Global Conference and what motivated you to join our community of 100 000 women in tech, minorities, and allies?

I am really looking forward to speaking at the Women in Tech Global Conference. It will be a great opportunity to connect with other professionals to share my experiences - both positive and challenging - that have shaped my career in the BPO industry. I was motivated to participate because the WomenTech Network is a powerful organization with an impactful platform for building our next generation of leaders. I’m passionate about helping to empower women in tech through leadership development, professional growth, and mentorship.

Share with us about your background, your journey in tech, and what inspired you to develop your career in this direction.

I always knew I wanted to work in the technology field. My first job was at Sprint in telephony sales. The unit I worked for was eventually bought by EDS, which was acquired by HP. At EDS I was introduced to their contact center business. After working on that side of the business, selling outsourced technology services to large companies like Nestle and Philip Morris, I was asked to help launch a new contact center spinoff company. I was only peripherally familiar with this industry but I found myself diving in to take on the challenge and the opportunity. It’s important to be open to possibilities since the road to success may have a lot of twists and turns.

Why is the topic “How To Level Up Your Career Path and Maximize Your Personal Growth Opportunities” important to you?

This topic is important to me because it is exactly what I did in my career to maximize my own personal growth opportunities. Leveling up means excelling first …. When you excel in the present, it means you are building a path for future success. Leveling up also means tackling some tough problems – show your organization that you can lead through complex matters that have a high return on time and energy spent. This will provide a window into how you would handle higher-level issues.

Who would you advise to attend the Women in Tech Global Conference and why?

Professionals at every level should attend the Women in Tech Global Conference. It’s a terrific opportunity to connect with industry experts in your field and learn from their expertise while building intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. You’ll also gather information about best practices and trends that are on the horizon. In addition, you can ask questions, exchange ideas, and establish valuable relationships whether you are just entering the working world or are established in your industry.
