Objective of the Role

As the SUSE Partner Solutions Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the SUSE alliance sales team by developing the marketing strategy, developing the marketing plan and executing marketing activities to promote and drive demand for joint SUSE and partner offerings.

The Partner Solutions Manager will also work with corporate, product and field marketing, partner marketing peers, partner account management and other team members in a fast-paced and rapidly growing market. This role is responsible for developing and owning the Go to Market strategy and tactical campaign activities to promote and generate demand for joint solutions offer by SUSE and our strategic partners.

    Activities encompass marketing programs/solutions to/through/with partners to create demand and incremental revenue for SUSE offerings and to deliver differentiated SUSE customer experiences.

    Focus Area

    While you'll work with various partner types, this roll will focus on SUSE Alliance Partner IBM as well as cloud-native, Rancher and Kubernetes-focused Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).

    Responsibilities

    •        Direct development of value proposition, integrated solution offering and market positioning to/with/through partner and successfully launch solutions in the market

    •       Engage with strategic alliance partners to increase awareness and demand for our joint solutions with an emphasis on IBM and SUSE joint offerings as well as Kubernetes-focused ISVs.

    •        Create/author marketing content and programs to drive demand and awareness of SUSE into the broader partner ecosystem including content for brochures, flyers, web pages, emails, etc.

    •        Work with Product Marketing to integrate SUSE solution and partner messaging into our joint offerings

    •        Work with our global events team to provide strategic guidance to meet event objectives when participating in global partner events

    •        Measure marketing program success and report on program metrics

    •        Manage content on suse.com and the SUSE partner portal. (campaign/promotional pages, marketing resource content for wider partner eco system)

    •        Provide ongoing status updates against agreed upon marketing targets and objectives

    •        Share successful programs and activities with the broader, global marketing team

    Skills/Experience

    • 6+ years of experience in business-to-business marketing

    • Enterprise B2B marketing experience is preferred

    • Experience working in complex, multi-relationship Go to Market environments

    • Integrated marketing program and planning and execution experience

    • Experience working with public and/or private cloud offerings and solutions

    • Prior work in partner/alliance marketing or in partner/channel management is preferred

    • Experience in demand creation and field marketing

    • Experience with sales & marketing automation systems, Marketo and Saleforce experience welcome

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Strong team player with a positive attitude

    • Some travel may be required

    • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is extremely important

    • BA or BS in Marketing or related field
